The Sloughi is an ancient sighthound breed found in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. The Berbers used the Sloughi to hunt desert hare, fox, jackals, gazelles, ostrich, wild boars, and hyenas. The Sloughi is a genetically distinct breed even though it has some characteristics that are similar to those found in other sighthound breeds. The Sloughi is a medium-sized sighthound with a smooth coat, long legs, is strong, lean, and racy. The Sloughi is a very intent hunter that uses sight, hearing, and its nose to chase down its prey. The Sloughi is also used as a watchdog so they are cautious with strangers.

Qurius was born on September 13, 2006. Her coloring is sand black mantle black mask. Her coat is smooth. She loves to hunt the bugs, lizards, and birds that come into the backyard.
